It is estimated that there are currently more than 700,000 suicides per year worldwide, and we know that each suicide profoundly affects many more people. Suicide remains a critical global issue, affecting individuals and communities worldwide.
Changing the narrative on suicide aims to inspire individuals, communities, organizations, and governments to engage in open and honest discussions about suicide and suicidal behaviour. By initiating these vital conversations, we can break down barriers, raise awareness, and create better cultures of understanding and support.

National Mental Health Day is observed on October 10 each year. In 2025, it will fall on a Friday. This day is dedicated to promoting understanding of mental health issues and advocating for mental health awareness.

Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.

19 November 2025
International Men's Day is an event celebrated on 19 November every year since 1999. The main objectives of the event are promotion of the men's and boys' health and safety, tackling our tolerance of violence against men and boys, promoting gender equality and highlighting positive male role models. It is also a chance to appreciate men's achievements and contributions to community, family, marriage, and child care. It can be seen as a counterpart of International Women's Day celebrated on 8 March.
